Carolyn (nee Farano) Megliola, 91 of Tinton Falls passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. 

Born in East Orange, she had resided in Maplewood, where she served as the bookkeeper for the Maplewood Memorial Library for many years. After retiring, she and her husband Patrick moved to the Heritage Bay Community, Barnegat. They enjoyed the community and traveling with their friends from Heritage Bay. Carolyn and Pat started the Bingo games at Heritage Bay to benefit the community clubhouse. 

They were very active members of the Wright Memorial Presbyterian Church, Barnegat where Carolyn served as a Deacon and was instrumental in starting the Foodbank at the Church.  

In addition to her husband Pat who died in June 2011, Carolyn was predeceased by her  parents Frank and Margaret (nee Pasapane) Farano, and her sister Joanne Walters. 

Surviving are her children, Shari DeMarco and Michael Busch of Asbury Park, Michael and Rita Megliola of Pinehurst, NC and Richard and Jennifer Megliola of St. Charles, IL, her sister Priscilla Borchert of Clark, and her grandchildren Kirk (wife Casey), Max, Christopher and Miya.  Carolyn also loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Carolyn’s wishes, all services will be held privately with burial alongside her husband Patrick in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers her family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
