Catherine Boylan Walski, 76, of Brick passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 8, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1942, Catherine spent her early years in Kingston, PA before settling in Brick with her husband, Peter Walski.
After having her children, Cathy pursued a degree in elementary education from Georgian Court University in Lakewood. Cathy enjoyed a 25 year career as a sixth grade teacher at Hugh J. Boyd Elementary School in Seaside Heights. She loved her job, colleagues, and students. Cathy was kind, compassionate, and lovingly loyal. Her warm and welcoming personality, along with her fun sense of humor made her easy to love.
Cathy had a strong faith and a deep love for family, friends, music, and laughter. She enjoyed spending summer days with a good book on the beach. Cathy and Peter were blessed with six grandchildren, she was happiest when spending time with them.
Cathy was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Joseph Boylan; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Lawrence Curtis; her brother, Patrick Boylan; and her sister, Elizabeth Miner.

She will be especially missed by her many nieces and nephews who all adore her.
The family would like to thank the staff of Holy Redeemer Hospice for their service, especially, Judith, Barbara, Lori and Sonya as well as her caregivers, Shirley, Sue, Natalie, Trish and Karen.
