Obituary for Christina Digiacomo
Christina Digiacomo, 31, of Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at home.
Christina was born on December 9, 1987, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ to her loving parents, Carole and Kenny. She graduated from Manasquan Elementary School and attended Manasquan High School before graduating from The School for Children in Ocean Township. She was currently attending The Primetime Adult Program in Eatontown, NJ.
Christina had an enormous love for Rutgers Football and was a diehard Yankees fan. She enjoyed bowling and participated in several leagues and loved going to the movies and Broadway shows. Christina was also a loyal and loving friend to her besties Annie, Barbara, Krislyn, Khanda, Molly, Dylan and Gladys. Christina had a great love for her teachers and mentors, especially Barbara and Yvonne. She was formerly employed at Marshall’s Home Goods and was currently working a job she loved at AC Moore in Wall Township.
Christina is survived by her devoted mother Carole and loving sister Kelli. She is also survived by her aunts Elaine McBride, Frances Hurwit (Joel), Patricia Burrus (Richard), and Kathy Caughey (Peter). She will be missed by many cousins, Stephen Strohmenger (Stacy), Thomas Strohmenger (Rachel), Joan Hurwit, Ivy Rubin (Josh), Carly Curry Edwards (Chris), Connor Burrus, Justin Burrus, Bridget Burrus and Megan Caughey.
She was predeceased by her father, Kenny, whom she adored, in 2004; her grandparents Thomas and Frances McBride, her aunt Joan Marie Strohmenger, her uncle Thomas John McBride Jr. and her cousin Matthew Caughey.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Thursday, July 11, 2019, from 3-6 P.M., followed by a prayer service at 6 P.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Tim McLoone Holiday Express, 151 Industrial Way E., Building A, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
