Obituary for Dolores Virginia Lyons (Holey)
Dolores Virginia (née Holey) Lyons, 91 of Wall Twp. passed away peacefully Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Wall Twp. for many years and then in Toms River for 15 years before returning to Wall Twp. 3 years ago. She was a former, long time parishioner of St. Denis Church, Manasquan. She sang for the Sophisticated Ladies singing Group in Toms River.
Dolores will joyfully rejoin her loving husband Michael, parents William and Margaret (Byrne) Holey, and her brother William (and Shirley) Holey.
Surviving are her devoted children and their spouses Kevin Lyons of Harmony, ME., Michael and Gina Lyons of Wall, Daniel and Nora Lyons of South Boundbrook, MaryBeth and Joseph Suter of Yardley, PA, and Laurie and Lee Carty of Abbot, ME, grandchildren Jennifer (and Sean), Jamie (and Andy), Michael (and Abigeal), Dari, Devyn, Philip, Daniel, Sarah (and Tammer), Conner, Sean (and Brandy), Katie (and Matt), and Kelly (and Gregg) and 2 great grandchildren Andrew and Kai and her loving dog and constant companion Riley!
Visitation will be on Monday, April 5, 2021, from 9:30am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Denis Church, 90 Union Ave., Manasquan. Burial in St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (donors@stjude.org) in her memory.
