Edmund Charles Brenner, age 84, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune from COVID. He was born and raised in Newark, NJ and resided in Holmdel before retiring to Manasquan and then moving to Brandywine Living in Wall in 2017.

Dad served in the USMC and after the service, he went to work for JCP&L and retired in 1994 after 39 years as a Chief Lineman. He was proud to be a lifetime member of the Holmdel Volunteer Fire Company #1 and a part-time Special Patrolman with the Holmdel Police Department. Dad was also a longtime friend of Bill W.

Dad was a kind and generous man with a big heart. His greatest joy was his family and he let us know how much he loved us every day. He will be deeply missed and live in our hearts always.

He is predeceased by his cherished daughter, Joy Townsend in April of 2020.

Surviving are his loving children and their spouses, Jill (Brad) Heine of Wall, Robin Brenner of Wall, and Cliff (Michele) Brenner of Manasquan and his son-in-law George Townsend; his 7 grandchildren, Becky Townsend, Georgie Townsend, Christopher Rahn, Kelley Rahn, Connor Heine, Jeffery Brenner and Jason Brenner and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his ex-wife Becky Brenner.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the loving and compassionate team of caregivers/staff at Brandywine Living in Wall who were like a second family to him along with all the residents.
