Obituary for Eleanor Kelly (Krynack )
Eleanor Kelly nee Krynack, age 86, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 3rd, 2020, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Bayonne and raised in Jersey City, Eleanor (Ellie) resided in Howell for over 30 years and has lived in Brick for the last 12 years.
Mrs. Kelly worked as a Court Administrator for Howell Township for many years and was a member of Kiwanis.
Ellie was a former communicant of St. Veronica’s RC Church in Howell and is now a communicant at St. Peter’s RC Church, Point Pleasant Beach. She loved reading, shopping, and gambling in Atlantic City. Ellie enjoyed going to the beach and especially loved her weekly poker games. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, James T. Kelly, Jr., her sister Teresa Taylor, and her brother Peter Krynack.
Surviving are her children, her daughter Ruth McDonald and her husband James, her daughter Patti Early and her husband Stephen, her daughter Kathryn Neill and her husband Robert and her son James Kelly and his wife Theresa; her 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Wallis Kane.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s RC Church, Point Pleasant Beach followed by the interment at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. in the shelter.
