Ellen F. (McHugh) Sitko, 78, of Four Seasons of Lakewood, passed away peacefully on Palm Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.  Mrs. Sitko retired many years ago as a secretary at Western Electric in Newark.  During her work career, she met the love of her life, Raymond R. Sitko.  They were married for over 60 years.  Affectionately referred to as Elzie, she was an active resident at the Four Seasons community in Lakewood.  She enjoyed daily walks throughout the neighborhood and was a member of the Four Seasons Golf Club. 

Born in Newark, she grew up in Irvington and lived in Colts Neck for over 25 years before moving to Lakewood 20 years ago.  During many years of her life, she loved spending summers and making lifelong memories at her favorite beach town, OB3 in Lavallette. 

Ellen was predeceased by her Irish Immigrant parents, John and Josephine McHugh; as well as her sister, Peggy Getcliffe in 2011.

Surviving is her loving husband, Raymond R. Sitko; and many nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended family members. Aunt Ellen will be missed by all knew her. 

A funeral Mass will be offered 10am on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Sacred Heart RC Church, 751 Main Ave, Bay Head, NJ 08724.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Foundation, 480 Red Hill Road, Middletown NJ 07748 would be greatly appreciated.
