Ethel Ann Skon (nee Kukucska) was born April 20, 1937 in Budapest Hungary as Etelka Ann Kukucska. She came to this country as a small girl and was kidnapped by Romanian Gypsies in Italy and had to be escorted by their police to the ship that would carry little Ethel and her parents to Staten Island, NY. Ethel met and married and had 7 children: Donna (Robert) Wortman, Richard Skon (deceased), Karen (Louis) Ciavolella, Mark Skon (deceased), Gregory Skon, Robert Skon and Charlie Skon.
Ethel had many friends. Ruth Snyder (Brick, NJ) was her sister-in-law and friend for all their adult life. She also had friends for over 50 years from Staten Island, NY.
But the ones who will miss her fiercely are her children 5, grandchildren 16, great-grand-children 25, and great-great-grand-child 1. Also nieces and nephews.
This wonderful woman joined the Lord May,18, 2019 alongside her parents Charles and Mary Kukucska, children Richard and Mark Skon, and granddaughter Christine Tuite.
Come join us June 22, 2019 at 11:00 am as we celebrate her life. The celebration will take place at: Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 230 Shadow Place Mantua, NJ 08051. There will be a gathering of loved ones after the service..
