Frank Sassi 80 died Monday, July 6, 2020 at Jersey Shore Univ. Medical Center, Neptune. Born and raised in Jersey City Nj. Beloved son to Frank and Madeline Sassi, brother to Josephine Sloyan and the late Marie Acatta. From humble beginnings to owning several Cadillac dealerships, he was never afraid of hard work. He was a proud Italian, still maintaining a home in our family’s hometown. Frank was a beautiful man, full of life, kindness, a provider of wisdom for his family, and always a consummate gentleman. He treasured the small things, walking his dogs, sitting on his favorite bench on the ocean, having a conversation with a stranger where he would always get a laugh. It was those little things which are so often forgotten in life. He touched the heart of everyone he met. There was never a conversation I had with him where there was not a life lesson weaved into the stories he would tell or the advice he would give, which always seemed to be correct in the end. In the last year, I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy Francesco, and Frank’s new obsession. Some of the most beautiful moments I have are the brief time they spent together. Nothing made him smile like his grandson. In our daily conversations, Francesco was always the first topic of discussion. It has been beautiful to hear the outpouring of love coming from those who knew him. Although his light has been extinguished far too early, It burns brighter than ever in the hearts and memories of those who loved him.
