Gerard (Gerry) Yerves, 70, of Wall Township passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 24th.
Born in New York City, Gerry, a triplet, grew up in Cupsaw Lake, New Jersey before moving to Elberon. He attended Red Bank Catholic and was a talented left-handed pitcher who was scouted by several colleges.
Gerry proudly served in the US Army from 1970-1972 during the Vietnam War.
Some called him the “best” used car salesman in the tri-state area; working in sales at Circle Chevrolet, Buhler Chevrolet, and King BMW.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bennett E. Sr. and Claire Yerves; and by his siblings, Kathleen, Dennis, and Mickey Yerves.
Surviving is the love of his life, Debbie Yerves; sons, Gerard Jr. and Geoffrey Yerves; sister, Peggy & (John); brothers, Tom, Tim & (Cindy), Kevin, Bennett E. Jr. & (Rhonda); as well as many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the neighbors - Jamie and Arthur, Jason and Petra and their boys who were always like his guardian angels.
A private committal service and military honors will be held 11am on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
