Obituary for Henry Peter
Henry Peter, 86 of Wall Township and formerly of Towaco passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Born in Union, Henry enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of the American Legion National Post.
Henry was a self-employed electrical contractor operating KAT Electric, Towaco for many years.
He has resided in Wall Twp. for the past 3 ½ years and prior to this he was a resident of Towaco and Parsippany. As a Wall Twp. resident, he was a Communicant of St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt.
He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Mary (nee Herzog) Peter, his son Clinton Peter and 3 of his siblings Richard Peter, Elizabeth Wicks and Carol Fox.
Surviving is his devoted wife of 29 years, Kathryn (nee Shafer) Peter, his children; Richard and Eric Peter, Gayle Tullar and Dana Reid, his siblings Rosemarie Senatore, Shirley Anderson, Jeanette Peter, Timothy and Christian Peter, 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 9:30am in St. Mark’s Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt. Private committal will be in the NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown at a later date.
In lieu of flowers kindly make a donation to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, NJ Chapter, 45 Wilson Ave., Manalapan, NJ 07726 in memory of Henry Peter.
