Obituary for Howard Fredrick Deuringer Jr.

Howard F. Deuringer, Jr., 69, of Wall, NJ, passed away peacefully at Care One of Wall on November 18, 2022. Predeceased by his parents Howard and Maude (Boutwell) Deuringer, his spirit will be carried on with his brother James Deuringer of Florence, NJ, and sister Sally Sheehan and husband Kevin Rehmann of Columbus, NJ. He is also survived by a large circle of wonderful friends and neighbors who were like an extended family to him.

Born in Trenton and raised in Hamilton, Howie moved to Monmouth County in the 1970’s after proudly serving in the U.S. Navy’s submarine service. Professionally, he worked as a computer engineer for several prominent corporations until his retirement several years ago. Howie loved living near the ocean, and often vacationed in Key West and Hawaii. He was always happiest though when he was entertaining his friends by hosting many memorable dinner parties and informal get togethers on his deck. He had many interests in his lifetime, including flying airplanes, fishing, good food and wine. Above all, Howie will be remembered as a truly kind and generous person who would do anything for the people in his life.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the O’Brien Funeral Home in Wall on Sunday, November 27th from 2pm - 6pm with a Funeral Service to take place at 5:30pm.
