Obituary for James Tompey
James Tompey, age 75, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born and raised in Perth Amboy, James has resided in Spring Lake Heights for the last 40 years.
James enjoyed cooking, watching the Yankees and Giants and making his famous Christmas truffles that everyone waited all year long for!
He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Arleen Dunn Tompey; his brothers, John, Kenneth and George Tompey; his sister, Lydia Tompey.
Surviving are his loving children, Joseph Tompey and Megan French and her husband, Adam; his sisters, Virginia Spiegel and Alberta Schaadt; his cherished granddaughters, Amelia and Emma; he also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. with a memorial service being held at 4:30 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35, Wall.
