Obituary for James "Jimmy" Racioppi

James “Jimmy” Racioppi, 61, of Manasquan passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10th, with his family by his side at Monmouth Medical Center. Born in Neptune, NJ, Jimmy was a lifelong shore resident and parishioner of St. Denis Church in Manasquan. 

Jimmy was well known for his signature big smile, quick wit, cheerful demeanor, and generosity. His magnetic personality allowed him to make many friends and lifelong connections. 

Jimmy was a graduate of Wall High School and Brookdale Community College.

After being employed at Perkin Elmer, Jimmy’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to start East Coast Entertainment.  He then worked for Norstar Energy where he excelled as a sales representative. Most recently, Jimmy operated Atlantic Coast Capital Partners in Manasquan where he provided property management services. 

His passion for fishing extended from the Jersey Shore to Florida where he also enjoyed spending time with his dear friends.  Aside from fishing, Jimmy enjoyed playing golf with friends and family. A true foodie at heart, Jimmy loved sharing his passion for cooking and showing off his expertise at grilling. 

Always there to help others in need, Jimmy had a giving spirit and would frequently organize and participate in various fundraisers. 

Jimmy was pre-deceased by his parents Joseph and Janice Racioppi, his brother Joseph Racioppi, and his two brothers-in-law, Paul McMullen, and Ronald Belka. 

Surviving are his siblings, Janice McMullen, Judy Belka, John Racioppi, Jeana Blakeslee and her husband Wes, Jeff Racioppi and his wife Sherrie, sister-in-law Maryanne Racioppi, and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. 

Jimmy also leaves behind many good friends both locally and in Florida.

Visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2023, 5-8pm at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall.  Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 9:30 am at St. Denis Church, Manasquan, NJ.  Committal will be private.  For more information or to send condolences please visit www.obrienfuneralhome.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jimmy’s name to Bernard Fromkin Oncology Unit at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 2nd Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
