Jean M. Cooper, 92, of Lakewood passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023. She was born in Brooklyn, moved to Spring Lake Heights, then to Long Branch before moving back to Spring Lake Heights again where she and her husband raised their four children.  Jean lived in Lakewood the last 30 years after her retirement as a supervisor from Bell Atlantic. She  loved her trips to Atlantic City and playing poker,  enjoyed hosting pool parties, was an avid bowler, and was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church in Brick. 

She was predeceased by her first husband, Richard J. Cooper, Jr. in 1994 , and  her second husband, Herbert Nuber  in 2016; and daughter, Marion Crump in 1999.  Jean is survived by her son, Richard J. Cooper III and his wife, Dianne of Wall; daughters, Diane Cooper of Bayville and June Delgado and her husband, Sady of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Megan Cooper and her boyfriend, Vinnie Landolfo, Melissa Cooper and her fiancé, Kevin McKenzie, Ricky Cooper, Rachel Callandriello and her husband, Jim, Jessica Crump, Nicole Delgado, Matthew Delgado; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A visitation for Jean will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ 08724 on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown on Thursday, April 6th, 2023 at 11:30 AM. Please meet at the cemetery.
