Obituary for Jeanne Margaret Russo

Jeanne Margaret Russo, age 85, passed away on Wednesday February 23rd, at home surrounded by family.  Born in Jersey City, Jeanne lived in Rutherford, Manhattan, and Bloomfield before moving to Lakewood, where she has lived for the last 14 years.

After having 6 children, Jeanne pursued a college degree and graduated from Fordham University and then went on to receive her Masters at New York University, finishing her studies at NPAP.  She went on to have a private practice in NYC as a Psychotherapist.  

Jeanne was a master of the Times crossword puzzles as well as Jeopardy family champion.  She was a huge Bobby Byrne fan, member of many book clubs & Irish-American clubs, and was an avid bocce player.  

She is survived by her loving sons, George (Tammy), John (Bonnie), Robert (Gabriella), Michael (Haley) and two daughters Jeanne Marie Hogg (Ray), Amy Russo; Todd Harrigan; her brother William Semmens, her sister Bonnie Moran; her best friend Annemarie Newman; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Friends and Family are invited to a celebration of Jeanne’s life on March 5th, at Toast Asbury Park, 516 Cookman Ave, Asbury Park 07712 From 4-8pm.
