Obituary for Joan C. Arey (Cummings)
Joan C. Arey 63 of Wall, NJ died Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born and raised in Spring Lake Hts., NJ Joan moved to Wall 42 years ago. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Manasquan. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, stone collecting and anything creative. She also enjoyed spending time bird watching with her husband Bill. Joan loved the beach, spending family vacations camping with her family. She never missed sports events for her children and grandchildren.
Joan was predeceased by her father Richard Cummings, her brother Wayne Cummings and her son in law Neal Zambardino. Surviving are her beloved husband of 42 years, William D. Arey, her mother Shirley Cummings of Oregon, 5 children, Crystal Kaufman and her husband Chris, Candice Arey and her husband Jorge, Danielle Zambardino, Steven Arey and his fiancé Kaitlin, Brenna Arey, 8 grandchildren, Mikey, Evelyn, Jasmine, Charlotte, Emily, Skylar, Benjamin and Virginia Joan. She is also survived by her3 brothers, John Cummings, Daniel Cummings, Christopher Cummings and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial visitation will be Sunday, November 15, 2020, from 1-5pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 Wall. Committal will be private.
