Joan V. Brennan, 85, of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.

Born and raised in Linden, Joan has resided in Point Pleasant since 1959.  She worked in the accounting department at Bell Telephone for many years. She also taught CCD for several years at St. Martha’s RC Church.  Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, going to the beach and the Snug Harbor Pool.

Predeceased by her parents, Joseph Kwiatkowski and Winifred Conrad; her brother, Joseph Kwiatkowski and her former husband, Jerome Brennan; she is survived by her children, William Brennan, Brian Brennan and wife, Melissa, Barbara O’Connor and husband, Stephen, and Carolyn Brennan and husband, Cubby Starzman; her grandchildren, Kevin O’Connor, Sean O’Connor, Colin Brennan and fiancée, Katelynn Belfatto, and Christian Brennan; her brother, Jim Kwiatkowski; her niece, Tina Kwiatkowski and her sister-in-law, Annette Kwiatkowski.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at St. Martha’s RC Church, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle.
