Joan P. Iorio nee Bongiovanni, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Mrs. Iorio resided in Little Ferry before moving to Wall Township 11 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she worked for the Registrar at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Joan was an excellent pianist who loved to play for her family, friends, and neighbors at Sunnyside Manor.

She was predeceased by husband of 56 years, Louis M. Iorio and her sisters, Marian Grabowski and Carmela DeMarco. Devoted mother to Anthony M. Iorio and his wife, Donna, Kathleen M. Ostapiej and her husband, Thomas, and Dr. Louis M. Iorio and his wife, Tina. She was the loving grandmother to Sarah Trochanowski (Andrew) and Allison Iorio; Daniel and Isabella Ostapiej; Mark, Katherine, and Jenna Iorio; and her great grandchildren, Susannah and Greta.

Viewing will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 14th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Denis RC Church, Manasquan followed by the entombment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
