Obituary for Joan F. Jewell (Drescher)
Joan F. (Drescher) Jewell, 90, of Jackson, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at her home. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School in Queens, New York. Joan was an active member of the American Cocker Spaniel Club and the AKC American Kennel Club for many years where she participated in local shows on Long Island as well as various Dog shows and obedience trials in and around the North East and Pinehurst.
Both she and her husband, Steve moved from Long Island to Pinehurst, NC and lived there for 30 years before moving to Jackson, New Jersey last year.
She joins her husband in Heaven, Steve Jewell who passed away on Christmas last year. Surviving are her sons Kenneth and his wife in NJ, Robert and his wife in Florida and daughter, Cyndie and her husband in Washington State. She also leaves her 5 loving grandchildren.
In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, a memorial celebration of life will be planned at some time in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to either the A.P.C.A or the American Cocker Spaniel Club.
