Obituary for Joseph Frank Mazza

Joseph F. Mazza; 91; passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Arbor Terrace, Tinton Falls, NJ. Born and raised in Long Branch, he met and married the love of his life Joan, and resided in Shark River Hills where they raised three daughters. 

He owned and operated Mazza’s Luncheonette on Norwood Avenue in Long Branch for many years. An avid golfer, he achieved the coveted “hole in one” many times. The highlight of his golfing years was playing St. Andrews in Scotland. In his later years, he became a cycling enthusiast, riding throughout New Jersey and completing the “Five Borough Bike Tour” in NY. 

He was predeceased by his wife and best friend Joan Ehmann Mazza. Daughters Joanne Lawler and Lisa Goldsmith. He is survived by his youngest daughter Michelle (husband Joseph) Brick, NJ, and seven grandchildren: Alison, Bethany, Scott, Brianne, Arleigh, Olivia and Max. Six Great Grandchildren: Bella, Miguel, Julien, Saverio, Violet and Blake and loving sister Francis Miller of Point Pleasant.

Internment is private. Celebration of Life to come.
