Joseph Carl Alex Yonelunas 52 of Belmar, NJ lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. Born in Rahway, NJ, Joseph was raised in Woodbridge, NJ and resided in Belmar for 6 years with his family. He was a graduate of Rutgers College of Pharmacy. Joseph worked as the pharmacist at Walgreens in Brick, NJ. He enjoyed traveling to Bermuda, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Dubai, Canada, England and all over the United States. Joseph was a history buff, a computer enthusiast, golfer, frequent concert, and festival goer. Joseph was a supportive loving father and husband who will be deeply missed.
Joseph is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Charlotte Yonelunas. Surviving are his beloved wife Alanna Yonelunas, son Matthew Yonelunas, daughter Alexa Yonelunas all of Belmar, NJ and 3 sisters, Carla Bartles of Berwick, PA, Diane Patten of Sewaren, NJ, and Lori Gordon of North Brunswick, NJ.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 1-4PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd, Wall. A funeral service will be offered at 4PM at the funeral home.
