Obituary for Katherine K. ""Tina"" La Belle (Karvelis)
Katherine K. “Tina” La Belle, 90, of Neptune, NJ died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Jersey Shore Univ. Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Richmond, VA, Katherine lived in Belmar before moving to Neptune 59 years ago. Katherine was a parishioner of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Ocean, NJ.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was also an advocate for animals supporting the World Wildlife Fund and local animal shelters for many years. Katherine loved spending time with family especially her children and grandchildren.
Katherine was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward A. La Belle in 1995. She was the loving mother of 3 sons, Edward A. La Belle and his wife Julie of Snohomish, WA, Thomas La Belle and his wife Robin of Toms River, NJ, John J. La Belle and his wife Michelle of Beachwood, NJ, grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 6-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 22, 2021, 10 am at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1033 W. Park Ave. Ocean, NJ. Burial will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
