Kathryn A. Dickerson, 70
Avon-By-The-Sea and Neptune, N.J.
Kathie left this world to rejoin her loving parents Vernon and Kathryn Henderson and her beloved daughter Gina who never left her heart.
As an entrepreneur Kathie was the owner of Coast Answering, Inc., a school transportation service in Avon, N.J. until closing her business to work for Seman-Tov Bus Service of Neptune, N.J. At the midpoint of her life Kathie opened and operated "Abundant Fashions Boutique" of Belmar, fulfilling a passion for clothing merchandising that was a lifelong dream.
From her personal and professional endeavors she developed friendships that lasted throughout her life, with some by her side in her final hours.
Kathie is survived by her husband Edward Dickerson, her brother Vern Henderson and his wife Shari with whom she spent her final months, her uncle Joe McLaughlin, her mutually adopted brother Bernie, sisters Tanya and Barbara, and many cousins and friends. Kathie is further survived by nieces and nephews Jodi, Matt, Lisa, Alaina, Christina, Jack and Matt and their respective families. This special generation brought a sparkle to her eye and smile to her face.
Kathie will be forever missed by those fortunate enough to have known this wonderful person who quietly did so much for so many and asked nothing in return.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 6-9PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Graveside service will be Wednesday, July 22, 2020, 10AM at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls, NJ. In order to protect the health and safety of all, masks and physical distancing will be enforced.
