Obituary for Kayla Elizabeth Ullrich

Kayla Elizabeth Ullrich, 21, of Bricktown, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. Born in Neptune, Kayla has resided in Brick her whole life. Kayla was a graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School and went on to graduate from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Liberal Arts.

Kayla was full of life and energy and had a heart of gold. She loved spending time at the beach with her friends, surfing and listening to music. She was always a true friend who made the playlist for every occasion. She enjoyed the Jeep life and loved every second with her dogs Roxy, Brodie and her beloved Chase. Kayla touched everyone in her path with her sweetness, warm smile that would light up a room and her genuine friendship. She was smart, kind, and beautiful inside and out. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her loving parents, Kathleen and Gregory Ullrich; her grandparents, Walter and Rose Ullrich, Jack Counihan and his wife, Ellen and Margaret Counihan; her aunts and uncles, Kasey Gruszecki, Patrick and Paula Counihan, Scott Ullrich and Mark and Jane Ullrich; her cousins; her cherished friends, Brittany and the Schwartz family, as well as Delaney, Jamie, Meghan, Pia and many others.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, February 28 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Peter’s in Point Pleasant, NJ, on Saturday, February 29 at 10 AM, with entombment to follow at Atlantic View Cemetery.
