Obituary for Kimberly Ann "Kimmy" Masotti (Marrucca)

Kimberly “Kimmy” Ann Marrucca Masotti, 52, of West Allenhurst died on Thursday, March 12, 2021 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Kimmy was a well-loved hostess and manager at Jimmy’s Italian Restaurant in Asbury Park. She welcomed everyone with a warm smile and her charismatic and friendly nature immediately made you feel like family. She also managed Joe’s Farm Market in Neptune City. She enjoyed reading and gardening, and you could always find her in the water at a pool or the beach as she loved to swim. Kimmy was a loving, devoted mother and dedicated her life to raising her boys to become the thoughtful and caring young men they are today. She attended St. Rose High School and was a graduate of Monmouth University in West Long Branch with a degree in Business.

Kimmy joins her father, Giacoma Jimmy Marrucca; brother, James Marrucca, Jr.; and her uncle, Joseph Williams in Heaven. Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Michele Masotti of Wall; sons, Giovanni Battista Masotti and Mateo Giacomo Masotti of West Allenhurst; mother, Diane M. (Williams) Marrucca; sister, Lysa Marrucca and her husband, Luis Montesinos; nephews, Lukas, Dante and Leonardo; as well as her mother-in-law, Ornella Masotti of Verona, Italy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 5-8pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall. A Funeral Mass will be offered 10:30am on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church in Spring Lake. The mass will be live-streamed and available at the following link: https://venue.streamspot.com/85b923a3. Entombment will follow at Saint Catharine Cemetery in Sea Girt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society or Monmouth County SPCA.

Due to the current executive orders, all indoor gatherings must follow capacity limitations. Facial masks are required and social distancing must be maintained.
