Laurence Paul Kelly, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with his loving family by his side.  Born and raised in Jersey City, he was the son of Thomas and Rita (Doran) Kelly. Laurence lived for many years in Warwick, NY where he raised his family.  After his retirement he moved to the Jersey Shore.  

Mr. Kelly worked for over 30 years as a teacher at Pomona Jr. High School in Spring Valley, NY. 

Laurence loved the beach, was an avid New York Mets fan and enjoyed doing the NY Times crossword puzzles, although his greatest joy in life was spending time with his loving family.  

Surviving are his beloved daughters, Jennifer Kelly and her husband, Walter Wittich, Melissa Kelly and her husband, Robert Jackson and Claudine Kelly and her husband, Paul Rittenberg; his sisters, Catherine Swicker, Eileen DeBari and Ellen Corr; and his cherished granddaughters, Cara and Emily Fitzgerald.  He is predeceased by his brother, Thomas Kelly.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. with a 1pm funeral service at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall, NJ.
