Obituary for Leonard Iannizzotto

Leonard Iannizzotto, 86, of Brick, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick.

Mr. Iannizzotto was born and raised in Brooklyn. He lived on Staten Island, where he raised his family, for many years, as well as in Manheim, Pa., for several years, before moving to Brick in 2010. He served in the Army during the Korean War, before beginning a long career as a Meat Cutter, with Acme Supermarket, from which he retired many years ago. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Iannizzotto was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen, in 2015, as well as by his brothers, Mario, Paul, Carmine and Dominick. He is survived by his children, James and his soon to be wife, Wendy, of Pa., Leonard and his wife, Denise, of N.Y., Paul, of N.J., and Kathryn and her husband, Michael Palmeri, of N.J. Also surviving are Mr. Iannizzotto’s 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his sister, Frances Polisano, and his sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Joseph McDonough.

Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, on Monday, June 17, 2019, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Epiphany, Brick, on Tuesday, June 18th, at 10 AM, followed by the entombment, with military honors, at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.
