Obituary for Linda Louise Aprea (Berg )

Linda Louise Aprea, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her home in Jackson.  Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, Linda spent many years raising her family in Mountain Lakes and later residing in Jackson, NJ for the last 6 years.

During her younger years, Linda was an avid dog lover; she bred and showed many litters of Afghan Hounds. She was also a veterinary technician at the University of Minneapolis. Linda later worked alongside her best friend, Cyndi, designing kitchens and baths; she always had a keen eye for interior design and decorating. Linda was actively involved in building the life of her family by helping on her daughter’s sports teams, supporting her husband in his business ventures, and working hard to create family memories that would last a lifetime. Linda thoroughly enjoyed caring for her garden, plants, landscaping, and gardening in all of the homes in which she lived, and took great pride in caring for what was hers.

Linda loved her dog, Lily and was a passionate animal lover.  She was always looking to help in any way she could and would often donate to animal welfare and Veteran's foundations whenever possible.  Linda enjoyed spending her time in Point Pleasant Beach, where she and her family own a vacation home. She loved nothing more than spending her time with family and friends, and neighbors on the deck watching the ocean. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother and loved spending all her free time with Hayden, and was looking forward to welcoming her newest granddaughter, Danica.

Linda is predeceased by her beloved husband, John J. Aprea in 2006, as well as both parents.

Surviving is her loving daughter, Liz Burachinsky and her husband, Andy; her sister, Sandy Sheridan; her nephews, Joe Johnson and Steve Aprea; her nieces, Kristi Mather and Jesse Johnson; her cherished granddaughters, Hayden and Danica Burachinsky. She is also survived by her ‘family of the heart’ Cyndi and Carson Christel.

A Memorial Service for Linda will be held on her birthday, July 24th, 2022 on the River Queen.
