Lucille Sharp, age 91, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.  Lucille was a lifelong resident of Spring Lake.

Mrs. Sharp was an active member of St. Catharine's Parish in Spring Lake where she served as a eucharistic minister for many years.  She was member of Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and a crisis help line support counselor.  Lucille retired after 34 years working as a Teacher’s aide at HW Mountz School in Spring Lake.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, William Wesley Sharp III in 2021; her son, William W. Sharp IV and her son in law, James Holts.

Surviving are her loving children; Michael Sharp and wife Rhonda of Beesleys Point, Rosemarie and husband Dennis Owens of Spring Lake, Lynn and husband Gerry Waser of Hobe Sound, FL., Sandra and husband Charles Rice of Herndon VA., Patricia Holts of Hobe Sound, FL, and Theresa and husband Joseph Hazley of Oakhurst; her sister, Rose DiIonno of Spring Lake; and daughter in law Ginny Sharp of Bronxville N.Y; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall, NJ followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret's RC Church, the corner of 3rd and Ludlow Aves, Spring Lake, NJ followed by the interment at St. Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt.
