Margaret Anne Wilton (nee Glackin), 77, passed away April 15, 2021, at home. Born in Summit, NJ, raised in Millburn, she was a graduate of Bayley-Ellard, HS and Montclair State College. She was a devoted and creative middle school English teacher. Margaret taught in Elizabeth, NJ and retired from the Chatham, NJ school district in order to spend more time in her favorite occupation as ‘Mimi’ to her beloved grandchildren: Claire, Gracie, Jerry, James, Macaela, and Sean.

Upon retirement, Margaret’s creative energies settled on the art and handcraft of quilting. She was a proud member of multiple creative NJ quilting groups and left a living legacy of hundreds of beautiful and admired handmade quilts among family and friends.

She was predeceased by her son, Phillip; brother, Thomas; and her Donegal, Ireland born parents, James and Annie. Surviving is her loving husband Daniel; their son, Josh and wife Wendy and daughter Deirdre O’Mara and husband Gerald; along with her brother, James Glackin and wife Jacqueline.

In keep with her wishes, the family will be celebrating a life well lived on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 2pm – 6pm at their residence 407 Salem Ave, Spring Lake, NJ.
