Obituary for Marianne Andrews (Kartikis)

Marianne (Kartikis) Andrews, 72, of Wall passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Andrews was a beloved teacher at Manasquan elementary school before retiring in 1999. She was an avid member of the NJEA and the former treasurer of Manasquan Retirees & Friends. Marianne was a graduate of The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) with a bachelor’s degree in Education.

She was born and raised in North Brunswick before spending the past half century in Wall Township.

Mrs. Andrews was predeceased by her father, George Kartikis. Surviving is her loving husband of 48 years (“all to the same person” as Tiki would always say), Thomas L. Andrews; sons, Nicholas Andrews and his wife, Theresa of O’Fallon, MO and Stefan Andrews of Wall; her mother, Alice Kartikis of North Brunswick; sister, Marisa Dervich and her husband, Stanley of Cranbury; brother, Peter Kartikis and his wife, Sharon of Pompano Beach, FL; her beloved dog, Yogi; and granddogs, Lady, Jake, and Max.

The family will be holding a private memorial service and plans to have a celebration of life during their annual 4th of July party in 2021.
