Marie R. Frank 97 of Ocean, NJ and formerly of Lakewood, NJ died Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born and raised in Madison, SD. After graduating high school, Marie moved to Washington DC where she met the love of her life Walter J. Frank Jr. After they were married, they moved to Lakewood, NJ where they raised their family. Marie was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Lakewood where she taught Sunday School and was a member of Capa Phi. She worked for the Freehold Township Board of Education as the transportation coordinator until her retirement. She was a member of the New Jersey Transportation Association. Marie enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter J. Frank Jr. in 1981 and her 5 siblings. Surviving are her children, Jean M. Frank and her partner George DiLeo, Thomas Frank and his wife Nancy, 2 grandchildren, Patricia Parratt, Marni Pasch and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 10 am – 11 am at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie’s name to Meridian Hospice, 1340 A Campus Pkwy Neptune, NJ 07753.
