Obituary for Marjorie A. O'Malley (Den Hartog )
Marjorie A. O’Malley (den Hartog), 85 of Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Marjorie has resided in Spring Lake Heights for the last 30 years.
She and her beloved husband William owned and operated O’Malley’s Bar in Bay Ridge for 21 years. In addition to the bar and raising her family, Marjorie was a Senior Teller at Chase Manhattan for 25 years. She and Bill loved the beach, and in 2000 were able to move to Spring Lake Heights full-time. She will be dearly missed.
Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband William of 59 years in 2015, as well as her siblings, Richard, Robert, James and Dorothy.
She leaves her devoted children; Scott O’Malley & wife Mary of Florida, and Laura O’Malley of Spring Lake Heights; her grandchildren Stephen and John O’Malley, Tyler and Jamie Walliker.
Visitation will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 2:00-6:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home the following morning at 10:00 am with entombment to follow alongside William at Atlantic View Cemetery in Manasquan.
Please remember that all funeral services are under the Coronavirus Executive Orders; social distancing and masks will be required by all, and the services will be under capacity limitation.
