Obituary for Marjorie A. Ferguson (Sullivan)

Marjorie A. Ferguson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 1, 2023.  She was born in the Bronx, New York on January 1,1934 to John J. and Marjorie Sullivan. Marjorie was married to her husband William V. Ferguson for 67 years. They raised their family in New City, NY before settling in Avon-by-the Sea, NJ. 
 
She graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary. Her greatest joy in life was her family, of which she was very proud.
 
Marjorie is survived by her husband and their children, William, Jr., Gregory, John Scott, Kimberly, and Robert. Her family grew to include daughters-in-law, Linda and Jeanne-Marie, and son-in-law, Michael Neary.  She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, Katelyn Rowe (Eli), Gregory, Jr. (Marley), Meghan Desautels (Patrick), Julia, Liam, Sean, Claire, Jennifer O’Mara (Kevin), Michael Neary, Jr. (Maria), Allison, Paige Vetterlein (Nick), Erin, Sarah, and Riley, and seven great-grandchildren, Eden, Lane, Scarlett, Ella, Theodore, Tate, and Wyatt. She is also survived by sisters Jacqueline Sullivan and Ann Maguire.  
 
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 State Route 35, Wall Twp, NJ.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Elizabeth of Hungary R.
