Obituary for Martha Lee "Lee" Stokes (Carscadden)

Martha Lee Stokes, known as “Lee,” passed away at age 81 after a brief illness at Bethesda Hospital East, Boynton Beach, Florida.

She was born Martha Lee Carscadden on November 7, 1939 in Teaneck, New Jersey, daughter of William Carscadden and Olga Tkach. A graduate of Teaneck High School, she completed her education at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Lee worked as an accountant for Cosentini Associates, New York, NY, for many years before retiring.

Cruising the world, traveling to many countries, was Lee’s greatest pleasure along with watching and answering Jeopardy questions every night. She will be remembered for her vibrant wit and her warm and generous heart.

Lee was very proud of her decades of service as a volunteer for both Bethesda Hospital East, Boynton Beach, FL and Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ.

Survived by her loving sister, Gail Carscadden of Neptune, NJ, she is also survived by her nephew, Kevin McKillop of Vero Beach, FL, and her niece Jill Solomon and her daughter, Dylan, of New York, NY.

A Service of Remembrance will be held from 9:00 am – 11:00 am on Friday, May 21st at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ 07719.
