Mary Elizabeth (nee Rooks) Harris, 86 of Sea Girt and formerly of New Providence passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Sunnyside Manor, Wall Twp. with her devoted daughter Juli at her bedside.

Born and raised in Oakland, CA., she had lived in Ohio, Illinois and then in New Providence for many years before moving to Sea Girt in 1997.

As a resident of New Providence, she had worked for many years at Sealfons Department Store, Summit.

Predeceased by her parents John D. and Margaret (nee Snyder) Rooks, and her sister Sally Johnson.  She is survived by her daughter Juliet Baldwin and husband Thomas of Manasquan, her 2 grandsons, Ross Baldwin and fiancee’ Asja Begovic and Wade Baldwin.  

In keeping with her wishes all services are being held privately under the care of the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall Twp.
