Mary Janice McGoughran, age 93, known as Janice, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023. Born and raised in West Orange, NJ, Janice resided in San Francisco, Daly City, and Sonoma, CA before settling in Spring Lake Heights in 2005. Prior to her retirement, she worked in Human Relations for Best Foods for many years.

During her retirement years in California, she was active in the Sonoma School District, working as a crossing guard, and volunteering to teach second grade students. She was a member of the Board of Directors for Community Association Institute of California and President of Crown Colony Homeowners Association. After moving back to New Jersey, Janice was a member of the Homebound Outreach Program Committee at St. Catharine’s and volunteered at the Algonquin Arts in Manasquan.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Cecilia McGoughran and her siblings, Bill and Nancy Fallon Blanchet. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Bill (Karen), Patricia, Tim (Allison), Lesley (John) Brinton, Tom (Jan) Fallon, Tim Fallon, and Liz Fallon-Culp, 13 grand nephews and nieces, and one great grand nephew.
