Maureen "Mo" Tierney, of Brick passed away on March 24, 2023 - a week before her 85th birthday.  A Jersey girl her whole life, Mo was born in Montclair, grew up in Caldwell, resided in Toms River and retired to Brick.   Mo graduated from Caldwell College and worked for Frequency Engineering Laboratories for over 30 years, then retired after working as a bookkeeper at MonOc Credit Union.  Mo's fondest memories included traveling with friends. She enjoyed cruising and traveling to Ireland and spent many weeks in Florida to visit with her best friend Joanie Spiegel before she passed.  She enjoyed playing bingo and always won!!!

Maureen was predeceased by her parents James and Helen Tierney, her brother James and sisters Joan Selk and Kathleen Federico.  She is survived by her nieces Teri, Ann, Sharon, Linda, Kristin and nephews Robert and Michael, along with 13 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great nieces and 2 great-great nephews.  

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 10th at 10am at Epiphany Church, Brick.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
