Obituary for Michael P. Gangi
Michael P. Gangi, 55, of Brick, N.J., passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Michael grew up in East Brunswick, N.J., the son of Paul and Vivian Gangi. He was a graduate of Rutgers University and the Mason Gross School of Art and Design in New Brunswick. Michael was the cofounder of Gangi Graphics in Brick. A talented artist with a keen eye and intuitive artistic sensibility, he created beautiful paintings, sculpture, and other artwork for his family throughout his life. An avid reader, he possessed a great intellectual curiosity and was a lifelong history buff and film enthusiast.
Michael was predeceased by his devoted father, Paul A. Gangi, and is survived by his dear mother, Vivian Gangi of Lakewood, his loving wife of 28 years, Joanne Hayes Gangi; his beloved children, Nicole Rose and Rachel Marie; loving siblings, Paul of Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.; Rose (Michael) of Red Bank, N.J.; Vincent (Mary) of Johnstown, PA; and John (Carol) of Rumson, N.J., as well as many other extended family and friends.
He was greatly loved by his nieces and nephews: Michael, Colleen, Elizabeth, Will, John, Emily, Jack, Amanda, Alex, Mark, and Sam.
