Muriel Helen Melando, 87, of West Belmar, NJ died Friday, February 11, 2022, at her home. Born and raised in Bayonne, NJ, Muriel lived in Rahway, NJ before moving to Wall in 1994. Muriel worked as an administrative assistant for American Insurance, Rahway, NJ until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine and St. Margaret Parish in Spring Lake, NJ. She was a member of the PAL Drum and Bugle Corps in Bayonne.

Muriel was predeceased by her parents Vincent and Helen Joyce, her beloved husband Edward Melando in 1995, her sister Joan Fournier and her brother Jack Joyce. Surviving are her children, Edward John Melando and his wife Jeanette of Colts Neck, NJ, Michael Vincent Melando and his wife Kathy of Pt. Pleasant, NJ, Nancy Martinho and her husband Joseph of Freehold, NJ and 8 grandchildren, Ashley Jessica, Kayla, Lisa, Joseph, Michael, Kaylyn and Christopher.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 6-8 pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 17, 2022, 10:30 at St. Margaret Church, corner of 3rd and Ludlow Avenues Spring Lake. Committal will follow in St. Catharine Cemetery, Wall.
