My sincerest condolences to Nelson's family and friends. Growing up at the shore in the late sixties and seventies, we could be quite reckless and wild. Nelson was always the kind, calm, patient presence! Only knowing him as a kid and teen, I'm sure he was a wonderful man and will be missed! My love to you!

Nelson! I have known you a long time. The years go by & somehow people keep in touch. I would always ask my sister (Nan) how you were doing & to say hi. Great memories of growing up in Spring Lake. You would even stop by my Mom’s house (Pearl) just to say hi & sit on her porch. You warmed her heart. We have shared great times...hanging out at your apartment with friends, our famous ski trip when we rented a van & just good times. Please know that you will never be forgotten. Your wonderful & gentle soul will remain in our hearts forever! Rest In Peace! ❤️🤗

Uncle Nelson,
Though we didn't get to see each other too often, I have some great memories with you that I will always remember. I will always remember how much we both enjoyed beef wellingtons at Christmas dinner, summer family beach days in Spring Lake when I was kid, and a memorable late July birthday dinner for you at the Birches in Moosehead Lake one summer. Many, many Christmases ago you gave me a pair of PJ pants with penguins on them that still fit and are still one of my winter favorites to this day. You will be so missed in our family, and I pray that you are enjoying eternal paradise. I hope you know how well-loved you are in our family.
