Nicole Maria Daley, 55, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022 surrounded by her family at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Nicole passed away from injuries sustained during a sudden brain hemorrhage on Monday, June 13th. Her final days were spent with her by family and friends by her side.  

Nicole was born in Livingston, New Jersey and lived her entire life at the Jersey Shore. After graduating from St. Rose High School (Belmar), she went on to graduate from Ann May School of Nursing (Neptune). Nicole spent her life as a Registered Nurse. After beginning her career at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Nicole went on to serve at several local doctor’s offices, as well as time spent teaching nursing students to learn skills within her profession. The final years of her career were spent with a wonderful group of co-workers at A Women’s Place in Lakewood, New Jersey. Nicole had many interests in life, however her love for her cats was only surpassed by her love for her family and friends. Nicole had a deep love for animals and helped save many animals in need. Nicole was known for her exceptional baking skills. Her entire family, especially her nieces and nephews loved her chocolate chip cookies, apple and pumpkin pies. Her cookies and pies were the highlight of every holiday meal, with the family just getting through the meal to get to Aunt Nicki’s desserts. Nicole spent her entire life caring for countless strangers in her profession and caring for family members beyond what most people are capable of doing. Her final selfless act of giving was to the NJ Sharing Network with her organ donation to help others in need. 

Nicole is survived by her parents, George and Patricia Daley (Allenwood). Her five siblings, George Daley (Dawn) Palm Coast, Florida, Barbara Pelligrinelli (Dave) Brick, New Jersey, Susan Hansen (Neal) Brick, New Jersey, Michael Daley (Julie) Rumson, New Jersey, Claudine Knopf (Brian) Severna Park, Maryland. Aunt Nicki is also survived by her nieces and nephews who she loved dearly, Christine Greenlee, Tara Schinder (Chris), Melissa Barnfield (Brian), George Daley (Heather), Michael Pelligrinelli, Kevin Pelligrinelli, Chris Hansen (Renee), Jonathan Hansen (Paul), Ellis Daley, Hannah Daley, Zoe Knopf, Tegan Knopf. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.  

A memorial visitation will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall on Thursday, June 30th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life beginning at 12:30 p.m. For more information or to send condolences please visit www.obrienfuneralhome.com.
