Olga Sala, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Jersey Shore Medical — the same hospital that she gave birth to 3 of her 4 children, and cared for us when we were there for various reasons. Born and raised in Newark, Olga has resided in Wall Township since 1961.

Olga’s greatest joy was spending time with her loving family.  She enjoyed sewing and gardening and was an avid reader.  She was also interested in art and was very fond of animals.

She is predeceased by her sister, Helen Yoboud.

Surviving are her beloved husband of close to 69 years, Andrew Sala (affectionately known to her as Sonny or Son); her loving children, Thomas Sala and his wife, Denise, Susan Sala and her husband, Carlos Miranda, Vincent Sala and his wife, Luisa, and Christine Dudley and her husband, Jake; her cherished grandchildren, Stephen, Nicholas, Emily, Odalys Shantal, Andrew, and Brianna.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 2-6 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall, NJ 07719. Special readings and commemorations at 3:00pm.  We would like everyone to be here at this time especially if possible. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 20th at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Rose Church, Belmar, followed by the interment at Saint Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.
