Obituary for Patrick Joseph Ward

Patrick Joseph Ward 75 of Wall, NJ died Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Jersey Shore Univ. Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. Born in Greenville County, SC, Patrick lived in Wanamassa, NJ before moving to Wall Township. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a construction inspector for Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, NJ. Patrick was a parishioner of St. Denis Church, Manasquan. He enjoyed fishing and vacationing with his wife.

Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Theresa White Ward, his children, Kelly Ward, Tracey Ward, Michael Patrick Ward and his wife Jennifer, 2 grandchildren, Ryan Michael Ward and Jake Robert Ward and beloved family pet, Leonard. He also leaves his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Carl and Julie Hansen, and 2 brothers-in-law Mark White and Daniel White.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 11am until the service at 1pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall.
