Obituary for Philip A. Esposito

Philip Andrew Esposito 83 of Whiting, NJ died Sunday, December 15, 2019 at home. Born in Englewood, NJ, Philip grew up in Cliffside Park, NJ. His family owned the Ho-Maid Ice Cream Parlor in Ridgefield, NJ, where he and his brother Sal loved to help out. He married Melissa in 1970, and in 1972 he moved his family to Cresskill, NJ before moving to the shore area in 1988. Phil graduated from Cliffside Park High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He served in the US Army. Philip worked as a cost engineer for Foster Wheeler, Livingston, NJ until his retirement. Phil was a huge NY Ranger Fan and NY Giants fan.
Philip was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Concetta Esposito, his daughter Mindy Esposito, his brothers Joseph and Salvatore, and his sisters Zita and Virginia. Surviving is his beloved wife of (almost) 50 Years, Melissa Esposito, a daughter Patricia (Pat) Tecza and her husband Kenneth (Tex) of Brielle, NJ, a brother Gerard Esposito and his wife Fran of Florida and many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by the many friends of Patty and Mindy while they lived in Cresskill.
Visiting will be Saturday, December 21, 2019, from 2-6 PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Funeral Service will be held at 6PM at the funeral home.
