Obituary for Robert W. Loop

Robert W. Loop, 80, of Brick passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Mr. Loop worked for Hoboken Bolt and Screw in Hoboken for many years before his retirement. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1960 – 1964. Mr. Loop loved spending time fishing with his Brother-in-Law George. Robert was an avid bowler winning many trophies and bowling several 300 games.
Born in Jersey City, he lived in Guttenberg and West New York before moving to Brick in 1974.
Surviving are his sister, Alice Koturo and her late husband, George, Sr. who passed in 1995 of Brick; niece, Darlene Balady and her husband, Sam of Brick; Deborah Kloza and her husband, Alan of Point Pleasant, nephew, George Koturo, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly of Lakeland, FL; niece, Ginny Lyons and her husband Mike of Secaucus; nephew Richard Loop of Florida and nephew Chris Loop of Brick as well as many great nieces and great nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 5050 Burnt tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at 8:30pm to conclude. Final interment will be private.
