Obituary for Ronald Paul Tucci

Ronald Paul Tucci, 70, of Brick formerly of River Vale died suddenly on Saturday, October 10, 2020. He proudly served his country in the US Army / National Guard for 6 years. Mr. Tucci was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, skiing, racing, and riding his motorcycle. He also was a pilot and earned his captain’s license for his boat. He was an American Legion Rider Post 174 in Wayne and was a member of the American Legion Post 348 in Brick. He served as chairman for the Zoning Board in River Vale and was the Township Zoning Officer for at least 2 years. He also enjoyed dressing up as Santa Claus during Christmas time for several Police Department functions for the kids in Bergen County.
Born in Hackensack, he grew up Moonachie and lived many years in River Vale before moving to Brick 2 ½ months ago.
Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Timothy Gavin of Sayville, NY and Lori and Anthony Barone of Brick; sisters, Rosemarie Pluchino of Saddle Brook and Donna Beideman of Ringwood; his 5 pride and joy grandsons, Anthony Barone, Jr, Cooper Gavin, Vincenzo (Vinny) Barone, Colby Gavin and Nicolo Barone; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and his former wife, Lucille Tucci of Lakewood.
A memorial service will start promptly at 11am on Sunday, October 25 at the Brick American Legion Post 348, 822 Mantoloking Road, Brick NJ 08723. In keeping with Covid-19 guidelines, even though this will be an outdoor event, face coverings and social distancing will be required to ensure safety.
