Obituary for Rose Sharon "Rosie" Joyce (Fiorentino)

Rose Sharon Joyce, 68, of Neptune passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Born, raised and has been a lifelong resident of Neptune. She was a 1970 graduate of Neptune High School. Mrs. Joyce retired as a supervisor at Verizon in Wall Township after 30 years of service. She then worked 20 years as a cafeteria cook at Wall High School before retiring from there.

Infamous for her “Rosie Cakes” baking business and the delicious confections she made for her family and friends. She was a lover of all things Disney and the many years of travel with her husband, Rich.
She was a loving wife, daughter, sister aunt, great aunt and friend.

She was predeceased by her father, Michael Fiorentino; brother, Michael Fiorentino; and by her sister and best friend, Nellie Fiorentino. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Richard Joyce; mother, Grace Fiorentino; brothers, Tony Fiorentino and Carl Fiorentino and his wife, Mychelle; sister, Christina Cusack and her husband, Timothy; as well as nieces and nephews, Rebecca Stone, Amethyst Fiorentino, Aubergine Fiorentino, Shawn Cusack, Patrick Cusack, and Connor Cusack.

Visiting will be on Friday from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall. Burial will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park in Tinton Falls.

Due to the current executive orders, all gatherings must follow capacity limitations. Guests must wear facial masks and maintain social distancing.
