Obituary for Sandra Lynn Ambrose (Hitchcock) RN

Sandra L. (nee Hitchcock) Ambrose, 70 of Tinton Falls passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.

Born in Honolulu, HI, she had resided in Ocean Township, where she raised her family, before moving to Tinton Falls in 2000.

Sandra was employed as a Registered Nurse with Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, West Long Branch, and Visiting Nurses Association, Holmdel as a Hospice Nurse, where she made a lasting impact with her patients’ families for her care and compassion. She had also served as the Recording Secretary with JNESO, North Brunswick.

She was predeceased by her parents Terrence and Josephine Kelly Hitchcock. Surviving are her devoted children, Jason Ambrose and partner, Katrina Wagner of Brooklyn, NY, Melissa Ambrose of Jackson, Danielle Ambrose of Tinton Falls, her four beloved grandchildren Kyle, Liam, Delaney, and Scarlett, her dear siblings Michael Hitchcock of Bell Buckle, TN, Carl and Martha Hitchcock of North Kingston, RI, and Pat Reardon of West Kingston, RI.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 11:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd, Wall. Private committal will take place in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls at the convenience of her children.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there are limitations on capacity at the funeral home, guests are asked to briefly greet the family for the visitation and exit the building. Face-coverings must be worn to enter the building.
